Mayajaal in Thiruvanmiyur

I don`t know much about the internet booking. My cousin goes quite regularly to Mayajaal, but he hasn`t complained about any problems in the internet booking. I was shocked to see that many people who have posted reviews on this website say that the internet booking is bad.

The crowd during weekdays is very less during weekends. So u don`t need to book tickets in advance online if u want to watch a movie on weekdays, but due to the less crowd, the theatre tries to save electricity on weekends by keeping the a/c off sometimes. Sound system is not so great,but not too bad either.

But otherwise its very good. The screens have been renovated. Screen 7 and 8 are almost as good as sathyam and inox. Seats are gr8 as well. Seat fabric is of high quality!!

Overall, u can definetly watch a movie at Mayajaal if:

You want to watch a movie during weekdays.
You dont get tickets at other multiplexes.
You don`t mind going 10 kms away from the city to watch a movie.

It`s a worst cinema hall I have ever watched in my life. Its like a local theatre with no facilities,with high costs, no proper seat arrangement.

Worst theatre I ever seen in my life.
Taking money of Rs.120/- from each person & servicing for not even Rs.20/-. Better close the theatre.

Watching Movie in Mayajaal is like watching in one of the local theatre. Very very unhygienic place!

That`s true my friends I have nearly tried atleat 20 times entering my card details but everytime some error comes and displays that the connection got disconnected. Is that we expect from the management of such places, shame utter shame !!

This is the only complex, where a person in wheel chair can go watch movie without any problem. In last few years we have seen many movies with my differently abled son who is in wheelchair. So called five star rated theatre have rams only outside the complex, but not inside the theater which is difficult for us to reach the seat. Thanks to Mayajaal owners.

Useless service, no proper response & badly maintained !!

I don`t consider it as a mutiplex. Sound quality and hall is very very poor !

Never ever have an idea to watch movie in Mayajaal it sucks a lot. I wasted nearly about rs.560. I submitted and it said the connection was lost and I contacted my bank and they said the money was debited from my account. No one responded when we called them.

I was trying to book tickets on Mayajaal two months back, suddenly connection got disconnected, but amount was taken from my account.
The same issue was faced by several other users too. When I called customer service the response was very poor !!

Very very bad response . Please don`t book tickets from net . You won`t get tickets nor money .

Very poor response! Nobody cares to pick up the phone for home delivery of tickets. Better to watch movies somewhere else, instead of travelling for such a long distance . Quality of customer service is too low!

Bbe careful when you book online ticket in mayajaal, I booked my tickets in mayajaal website but I got neither the tickets nor my money back. They dont have anything called as customer care.

This is my experience: I tried booking two tickets in mayajaal via internet when i finished filling all the details and clicked submit, a message poped out stating "your information is being sent to an unauthorised site do you want to continue or not" as i didnt want to take a chance i gave "no" and signed out. I didnt get any confirmation of booking the ticket in the completion screen not in my email id. But my credit card bill states a debit of Rs 260.00. I tried calling mayajaal several times but no one picks the phone.atlast someone picked the call and asked me to contact meiyyappan of systems dept and inturn meiyyappan asked me to mail the details to systems@mayajaal.com. I did that too but there was no response. So be careful while booking tickets in mayajaal. I lost money for only two tickets Rs260. If i would have tried for some higher number of tickets that would have been a great loss.
